WHAT IS A ROOT CANAL TREATMENT?
Root canal treatment (RCT) is the removal of the tooth’s pulp. Once the damaged, diseased or dead pulp is removed, the remaining space is cleaned, shaped and filled. This procedure seals off the root canal.
The most common causes of pulp damage or death are:
• A cracked tooth
• A deep cavity
• An injury to a tooth, such as a severe knock to the tooth, either recent or in the past
A pulp that is infected or dead left untreated can experience pus building up at the root tip in the jawbone, forming an abscess. An abscess can destroy the bone surrounding the tooth and cause pain too.
At ADDA DENTAL, we use laser and rotary files for automatic RCT makes the cleaning quick and reliable without damaging your tooth in the process.
GENERAL POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS
The most common symptom that may indicate the need for a root canal is tooth pain. The intensity of the pain ranges from mild to severe and may lessen or intensify throughout the day, or it may get worse only when you bite down on the tooth
